Mayberry Workshop on the Go

I can't believe that it is almost August!  Where does the time go?  Not to mention, I didn't post ONE post last week, how did that happen?!?  Well today's post should make up for that!

I got together with some of my scrappy friends last night and I wanted to share with you one of the layouts that I created.  So, CTMH has a product called, Workshops on the Go.  These kits are fabulous! Included in the kit you receive; a L2 paper pack, an exclusive stamp set, coordinating embellishments, and an instructional brochure.

Included in the WOTG & some of the artwork you can create following instructions included!

One thing that I love about the WOTG kits is that it gives you a starting point.  I always like to add my own twist to things and am not always so good at following directions.  So I take the WOTG, use it as a guide and add a little "Sarah" twist to it!  I had so much fun creating this layout using the Mayberry WOTG, I definitely can say one reason it was so fun was the event that I was scrapping!  Berry picking with the sweetest girls I know!  Not sure who had more fun; the Momma's or the Babes!

Right Side of the layout, stay tuned for the flip flap surprise! All photos were taken by Kelly Meyers Photography.

With the WOTG, the instructions show you how to create a two-page layout.  I created the two-page layout (with some minor changes) and then I cut the right side layout in half, making it two 6 x 12 pieces.  Next, I added one of my FAVORITE products, Flip Flaps, to expand my layout from two pages to four!  Flip Flaps are great for photo overload or even for hiding journaling or photos you want included in your layout but not as a focal point.

Flip Flap on the right side of page

Flip Flap on right side of page open, that blank spot on top is patiently waiting for my journaling!

Full layout underneath the Flip Flaps, you can see a portion of the Flip Flaps on either side of the layout.

Now all I have left to finish is the journaling, I do need to get better at that! But when I'm at a crop it is easier for me to focus on my layouts and add the journaling, later...

If you can't wait to get your hands on any of the products seen here, hop on over to my website!  Just a side note, all of the WOTG's that are featured on my shopping site, are only available for purchase until July 31st.  So, grab them before they are GONE!

Forever Friends

Here is another Studio J layout that I created in the comfort of my living room couch with no mess or clean up! Doesn't get better than that.

Studio J has so many amazing features that you cannot do with paper and scissor scrapping. Did you know that you can change any of the papers to any of the CTMH colors?  In this layout, I changed the tone-on-tone B&T paper from Hollyhock (which is a shade of pink) to Sunset (which is a shade of orange.  This worked perfectly with the color scheme of my photos and layout.  It was as easy as a click of the mouse!  To learn more, contact me

Up For a Challenge? & SOTM Sneak Peek

Here's a SNEAK PEEK of the layout I created using July's Stamp of the Month (SOTM).

My inspiration for this layout came from my one my favorite scrapbook blogs to stalk (I mean read on a daily basis!), Susan Weinroth.  She came up with A STASH-BUSTER challenge...to use 10 OR MORE patterned papers in a single layout!  Anyone up for a challenge?  I had so much fun with this challenge...lately my theme has been to scrap my stash so this challenge was just the thing for me!  I used 13, yes THIRTEEN, patterned papers in my layout!  My layout is a two-page layout but for this challenge I am using only the left side of the layout "10 Months."  If you decide to join in on this challenge, send me an email with your pictures. I would love to see them!  Now, you will have to wait until July 1st to see the full layouts!!

Stay Tuned!

Happy Scrapping, my friends!

Crafty Can

How cute are these little ones!?!  Picture by Kelly Meyers Photography; please check her out!!
This beautiful weather has been keeping us outside and so busy which means blog updates have been slacking. But what I have to share today will make up for it (or at least I think so!!)  I just had to share that adorable picture of my Olivia and her BFF, Addy strawberry picking for the first time...what a BLAST!!

So, all of Olivia's friends are starting to turn one...what a perfect time to put my crafty"ness" to good use!

I have been dying to alter a paint can to use as a gift box and finally got to try it out. What fun and what great results! A few of us friends from a mom's group decided to all go in on a museum pass and I made the gift wrap using Fanfare papers, lots of stamps and ribbon! Great way to use up those paper scraps.  This is my first of many Crafty Cans!!
