{ POTD }

I'm really looking forward to this weekend, to get in some much needed crafty time!  We have had such a busy week which has led to very exhausted evenings and no energy to scrap or blog!!  This post is going to be short and sweet...here's my {POTD} (pic of the day) for my @Becky Higgins, Project Life Album.

She was just so cute and busy playing in her kitchen, I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures. (But of course she became immediately distracted by the camera and flashed me her million dollar smile) She was whipping up some yummy dinner while chatting away VERY loudly!  I am savoring every minute with this amazing little one!

Lollipop Flowers

I was blog surfing while Olivia was napping the other day and came across some really inspirational ideas and actually created something based on them!!  I always find really creative and cool projects that others have made and think, hmm I need to try that but never do.  So, I needed to make a thank you card to go along with the accordian album and these lollipop flowers were just the thing.  I must give inspirational credit to Tresa Black, the stamp goddess, and Jayma Malme...you must check out their blogs!! I usually don't make cards as often as I scrapbook but I had such fun making this card that I must say I plan to make more and try out more techniques!

Accordian Albums

One of my new favorite CTMH products is the My Creations Memory Showcase; it is an accordian album that comes in two sizes (6x6 and 9x9).  It's fun to create, makes a great gift or centerpiece and even better is very inexpensive!! You can create a gorgeous mini album in less than two hours! I made this 6x6 album as a gift for my parents from their new granddaughter that we are going to mail to them in Florida. As promised here are some pics!! Let me know what you think. This collage shows the entire completed album, front and back, as well as each individual page.

Here are a few photos of the first accordian album that I made using the 9x9 album and Veranda papers.  The idea and template came from my upline, Lynn.  I still have not put photos on the album because it is so beautiful I was waiting for something special and I think I found that...Olivia's baptism pictures!!  So stay tuned until December for the completed project!  But here are the layouts without pictures and please note the beauty of this paper pack gets lost in the photo.

New Leaf

Hi blogging friends!  I know it's been a while...but I am turning over a new leaf and am going to try and post at least once a week.  So, I thought this morning was as a good a time as ever to post a new message!  Yesterday was such a great day!  First, Olivia slept through the night (that's not new to her though) in her CRIB!!  Yes, her crib for the first time!  She slept great...mommy well that's another story!  Then, my bestest came over for a day and night of scrapping!!  Finally, after 3 whole months of not being able to scrapbook, it happened!!  And even better I actually completed a project and am so happy with the outcome!  I created a 6x6 accordian album with the gorgeous Olivia papers. I still can't get down into the craft room but Nicole made a zillion trips up and down the stairs to bring me all the supplies and more that I needed!  I'm telling you I owe this girl my life...she has been there for me through this whole ordeal and it has meant so much to me!!  Now I have the "scrapbug" and can't wait to get started on my next project!  I will post pictures soon...baby steps, baby steps!
