Banners for Hire!!! I am just loving the My Creations Banner and having so much fun making them! Olivia's little friend Addison turned 1 today...such a BIG girl and I just had to make a banner for her! I love the way it came out, I used the Mayberry Papers, added the Kraft Borders to the edges for an added touch, and my favorite scalloped flowers instead of ribbon in between each pennant. I just have to say that the Kraft Borders are so versatile, I have found yet another use for them!
PS. I also have a layout that I used the borders on in another way, which I will share later since I haven't taken any pictures yet.
I probably should update you on the weekend as well...can I say success?!?! My first event went well, I had a wonderful time and met some great new scrapbooking friends! I set up my store and taught one workshop. The ladies gave me some great feedback and their layouts came out awesome!! I look forward to vending at more events in the near future. I am also looking to set up a workshop, more details to come.

Olivia's Beautiful Banner!
I have been such a busy bee this week getting ready to vend and at my first scrapbook event; Crazy for Croppin' Spring Getaway 2011 in Leominster, Ma. So, if you're around pop in and visit!! I will be there tomorrow night through Sunday. I have put together two small create and take workshops as well as a whole bunch of artwork to share with hopes to inspire some new friends! I am so excited to share this banner that I FINALLY made for Olivia's room! I have had the banner and paper since the new catalog came out. I am so happy with the final product and if you can believe it, it looks even cuter in person! The Sophia paper pack from Close to My Heart couldn't match Olivia's room any better, I think they designed it just for her! Haha! If you love it and need to have one of your very own contact me! I would love to show you how to make one or I can make you a custom one for your little one!

Sweet Sophia
This post is going to be short and sweet but it's been a while since I have shared some artwork with you! So here are two layouts that I created at my crop last weekend. The layouts below are of my gorgeous little SEVEN (I can't believe almost eight!!) month old daughter using one of my favorite new paper packs, Sophia.
The title is stamped using the new Bohemian stamp set and that adorable rosette border is a part of the pink designer ribbon assortment. |

I embellished this page using paper strips, a layered flower using Heartfelt Treasures stamp set, button, and bitty sparkles and accordian paper flowers |
Stay tuned because I am creating a workshop for the Crazy for Croppin' event using these papers and another one using Lucky! Come visit me at the crop!

Ring in the New Year Crop
This blog post is going to be short but sweet! I should be cleaning the house but this is much more fun! As I want to update you all on what a fun time we had croppin' on Saturday - all while the baby is napping...which could be for 5 minutes or 2 hours!! Like Auntie Nic says, "She's the BOSS of the house!" Anyway, it took me a few extra minutes to get my hands on my camera that I safely packed away in the wee hours on Sunday morning and to download the pics! What a great time with such fun scrapbook friends! We had a great set up where everyone got their own table with plenty of space to spread out and that we did! Between all of us we could have opened shop! We were armed with lots of supplies, good conversation, and of course tons of food! I also have a few pics to share of some of the pages I completed. I finally got to create a page using the 6 x 12 flip flaps, they are so cool! I was able to turn a 2 page layout into a 4 page layout!! Check it out below and pop onto my website if you want some of your very own! I also got to share how to make the super cool paper roses that I learned from watching Tracey Mason (which you can watch here...she is awesome by the way...I don't know her (yet) but I blog "stalk" her! She is sooo talented and her blog is way funny!!) I also got to play around with the new spray pen (pics to come on a blog later today or tomorrow!!)
Left side of layout using Magnifique Paper, Simple Stitches stamp set & liquid glass |
Right side of the layout using the flip flaps, Maqnifique Papers, Sparkles blue & green assortment, & liquid glass. |
This is the inside of the previous layout with the flap at the top open. I also used a Martha Stewart punch to edge the mat in the flip flap photo. |
This is the same layout with the bottom flip flap open. |
This is the layout that is underneath the flip flaps. |
This shows the flip flap at the bottom of the page open |
